From the Principals Office…
YEAH Summer has arrived! I will be using a different format by combining all three months into one newsletter! We have so much going on this Summer, we can’t wait to get started!
So let’s start off in June by wishing all of our dads a VERY Happy Father’s Day!! All classrooms will be celebrating our dads on the 19th. Check with your child’s class for their specific time. Dads, we appreciate each one of you and wish you only the best for your special day!
Calling all School Age kids! Get ready to rock n’ roll, summer is almost here! We have tons of exciting fun things to do here at Discovery Isle camp. We have made some upgrades to this year’s camp program, so we expect to have a great time and make lasting friendships! We do have a few more spots available so let your friends know to hurry and sign up! We look forward to an exciting fun filled Camp season! Camp begins on June 22nd. Reminder, at the end of month Discovery Isle will be closed on the 26th.
In July, we will begin our “Splash Days” for all our preschool classes which will be more on the creative side since we are now on drought restrictions. Discovery Isle will be closed on the 3rd of July. Please have a safe holiday! In addition, we will finalize the seamless transition for all students, parents and teachers. We hope that everyone will be happy with their new classrooms and teachers for the fall.
In August, we will host an Open House on Saturday the 1st. On that same day we will be offering a “Kids Day Out” from 10am to 2pm. The cost is $25 for the first child and $20 for each additional child. Spaces are limited so secure your position quick! What a great play date for your child and gives you a little big of free time on a Saturday. Feel free to invite your friends to come for their very own personal tour or any of our school festivities. School officially begins on the 31st. School will be closed on labor day, Monday, September 7th.
We have several “Spirit Days” planned all summer long. I have attached a calendar of events so you can follow along! Let’s see which class has the most school Spirit by dressing up! We have a lot going on this summer! Better Mark those Calendars so you don’t miss all the fun!
Till next month… Christy Lang
