Message from the Principal
We had such an awesome celebration for Teacher Appreciation Week, thanks to all of the families that joined in our festivities. Our teachers extend their thank you’s for all of the support and appreciation they receive from you everyday!
May also had brought us RED NOSE WEEK, together we were on a mission to bring awareness and end child poverty, one nose at a time.
Thank you all for your support of this fantastic cause.
In addition, we had a fantastic turn out for our Art showcase, dinner, and auction! Thank you for helping us support children’s creativity and grow art appreciation in our children!
June is always a time of mixed emotions here at the preschool. We are so sad to say good-bye to our Pre-K and Kindergarten friends- but we are so excited for their amazing journey ahead! Best of luck in Kindergarten and 1st grade, so many memories… each of your families will hold a special place in our hearts. Please keep in touch and continue to be our ambassadors for Discovery Isle.

Reminders
Summer is upon us, which means we will be seeing more of Mr. Sunshine and the warm weather is on its way! As a reminder spending time outside everyday, so please dress your child in weather appropriate attire. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen before coming to school each morning. If you would like for us to re-apply sunscreen after nap/before afternoon playground time, please be sure to fill out the Sunscreen Authorization Form located in the front office and bring a new bottle of sunscreen (please check expiration date!)
In addition, we suggest that you send your child in closed-toed shoes (preferably tennis shoes/sneakers) this is to protect their precious little feet. If your child is wearing sandals, sheltered toes are best and a back ankle strap is a must. This time of year is also perfect for checking your child’s extra clothing for appropriate size and weather.
