We are Splishin’ and Splashin’ into a Summer of fun and exploration
at Discovery Isle!
Message from the Principal
Come along on our All-American Road Trip… beep beep! Tons of Learning and fun straight ahead as the children explore maps, as well as a variety of states during the month or July. In August, the children will continue on their summer adventure, this time by airplane! Our annual imaginary trip will be to Italy! Children will learn and explore the beautiful county about a variety of experiences and culture of Italy
Calling All Parents! New System/ Procedure
Starting on Monday, July 3, 2017, you will notice that we are introducing a new more efficient way to sign your child into and out of school for the day. You will see an iPad set up on the front counter that will replace our sign in/out binders.
This process should be much faster and easier than searching for your children’s names in the binder. The electronic system will be used for the entire school.
Please see us at the front desk to receive your personal 4-digit PIN. Anyone else previously authorized to pick up a child on the “Red” application/information form also has their own 4-digit PIN for our iPad. Newly added individuals will still be required to show a photo ID before picking up a child.
Important Note: IPad is for adult use only; therefore children are not permitted to enter the PIN code. In addition, the PIN codes are each unique and are not to be shared, these PIN codes act as a legal signature for community care licensing requirements.
As part of this implementation, we are requesting your help with one more important process change. Please wait until you have picked up your child from their classroom before signing out for the day. This will enable our teachers to complete any last minute notations on your child’s daily report and ensure it is 100% accurate before sending. An easy way to remember this process, anytime you are entering your PIN code on the IPad, your child will be with you.
Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this process evolution. Once you start using the new sign in/out system, we would greatly value your feedback. Please let me know if you have any questions.
