July Events 2018
It is hard to believe the summer is here! This has been a year of growth and change here at Discovery Isle. We are very excited for the new school year to get underway! Classroom transitions are taking place Monday, July 2, 2018. If you have any questions regarding your child’s move please do not hesitate to contact the front office.
For your child’s safety, please send your child to school in closed toed shoes each day! We will be having a school wide flip flop day this summer.
Now is time to spread the word to all of your friends that Discovery Isle has limited spaces available for our 2018-2019 school year! Help us make the most of every child’s potential, by inviting your friends for a tour at Discovery Isle! And, here is the good news for you: if your friend registers their child you will receive a week of free tuition once they are enrolled for three months!
Medication and Sunscreen Policy Reminder
Just a friendly reminder that our medication policy states that we can only administer medicine that has been prescribed by a doctor. We cannot administer over the counter medication without a doctor’s note with explicit instructions on how to administer it.
Regarding sunscreen, if you would like your child’s teacher to apply sunscreen throughout the summer months, please complete the “Sunscreen Authorization Form” located in the front office. We ask that you bring your child in their own sunscreen and apply a coat of sunscreen before they come to school. All sunscreen will be applied after nap unless noted differently by a parent.
Happy Birthday!
We want to make your child’s birthday a special day! Please see your child’s teacher if you plan to bring in a special treat for your child to share with his/her class.
We encourage the following to share:
+Bubbles +Frozen Banana
+Yogurt +Stickers, markers or crayons
+Fresh Fruit +Healthy Cookie
(enough for each child in the class)
Again, it is important to check with your child’s classroom due to food allergies. Thank you for your help in providing a healthy, fair, manageable birthday for your child
