From the Principals Office…
Dear Discovery Isle Families,
September proved to a very busy month of us! We made new friends, said good bye to some old friends, adjusted to the typical “Covid daily class” routine, continued to stay safe while having fun, learned new things with Links to Learning and Club Connects Online learning. What a month, right?
What will October bring us? More fun times of course! For starters, we have a month filled with some Spooktacular Spirit Days, Ghoulish Halloween Science experiements, Creepy Cooking Creations, Crazy Covid Costume Party with games!
This month, we are also showing some our appreciation to all the Fire Fighters out there! We will make “Thank you” cards and collect snacks to deliver to our local fire deptpartment. We know they are working hard to keep us safe and we want to show our love making sure they are keeping their strength up. We have a collection “Fire Truck” box, if you would like to help donate items for us to deliver to them. We will collect items from September 28th to October 9th.
Lastly, Discovery Isle will be closed on Monday, October 12th for our annual Professional Development Day. This will be a fun filled day of trainings to keep our staff up to date with Covid policies and procedures, Links to Learning and Classroom environments.
By the end of the month, we finish with your child’s Parent Reports, which you will receive a copy at the beginning of next month. What an exciting month!
Until next month…..
