A Note from Our Principal
It is hard to believe the summer is here! This has been a year of growth and change here at Discovery Isle. Please be sure to send well wishes to Ms. Michelle, our Assistant Principal, her last day at Discovery Isle will be Wednesday, July 31. If you have not had the pleasure to meet the new members of our administration team, we will be hosting a meet and greet where you will have the opportunity to meet Ms. Alisa our new Assistant Principal and Ms. Brandi our new Office Administrator. We are very excited to have them and for the new school year to get underway here at Discovery Isle.
This month we are celebrating Independence Day and students are jumping into action, playing games, exploring nature, being creative, and participating in other fun summer-themed activities. We also will be packing our bags and taking flight to France where we will enjoy the Summer Olympic Games. Stay tuned for more information. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for us. July 2024 Events

Our St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Trike-A-Thon fundraiser is taking place July! We had so much fun in previous years this year we will be adding a twist and riding The St. Judes Trike-a-Thon in France. The Tour de Discovery Isle.
Here are four easy steps to get started:
1. Sign Up in the front office to give your child permission to participate in the event on Wednesday, 7/24/2024.
2. Get SPONSERS for the event. Go to:
https://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Trike/Trike?fr_id=157680&pg=entry
to set up your child’s personal fundraising page to accept online donations and please share this with all of your friends, family, and coworkers!
3. Encourage your loved ones to donate and utilize the online portal to see the donations coming in and even to generate thank you notes for your child.
4. Join the ride! Bring a trike and a helmet the day of the event. Your child will not be able to ride without a helmet. The event is taking place Wednesday, July 24th.
We are hoping to get a few volunteers for each class on the day of the event as it takes many hands and eyes to care for many little ones on wheels! Be on the lookout for sign-up sheets in the front office!
Thank you so much for your support with this event. We last sponsored this event in 2023, we raised over $4500 for St. Jude. We hope to do the same this year, if not more!
