Dear Families,
The year is off to a great start and we’re enjoying spending the winter season with your children. If you’ve not already done so, please send in an extra set of weather appropriate clothes for your child in their backpack. We want everyone to be able to participate in the fun outdoor activities we have planned.
Ground Hog Day is Monday, February 2. Tradition has it that if a ground hog emerges from its burrow on this day and doesn’t see its shadow because the weather is cloudy winter will soon end. If the ground hog sees it’s shadow because the weather is bright and clear. It will be frightened and run back to its hole and the winter will be extended by six weeks.
Although February is the shortest month there is a lot going on. This month we celebrate Dental Health, African American History and American Heart month. Each classroom will be doing extra fun activities that align with our Links to Learning Curriculum. Check it out: February 2021 Events
A fun activity to do at home: Make a Valentines Day card for a loved one that does not live with you. Take a trip to the post office and have your child purchase a stamp and mail their letter.
We are in for a wonderful month…If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us!
