A Note From Our Principal
Summer is such a fun time during the early childhood years; It is so sad to see it fly by. I hope you are enjoying the act of making memories with your little ones. I know trips to the beach and the pool dominate the summer, but do not forget about relaxing picnics and books underneath a shady tree. Children need quiet experiences as well as the on the “go-go” of a busy weekend.
We wanted to thank you all for your participation in our Kids Helping Communities initiative this summer! Because of your generosity, we donated two large barrels of food to the San Diego Food Bank. We are grateful for the opportunity to watch our students serve others these past few weeks and appreciate the role you all had in this.
For your child’s safety, please send your child to school in closed toed shoes each day! Please also be reminded, we ask that your child does not bring toys from home, unless there is a special share day scheduled in their classroom.
We look forward to the official kick-off of the school year come September. Please know your input and feedback are greatly appreciated. We would love to hear from you! Please feel free to stop by the office or send an email. Thank you for being part of our community!
Warmly,
Ms. Vanessa & Ms. Michelle
Summer Safety Reminders
Our students, teachers, and families’ SAFETY is our #1 priority. We wanted to put out a few reminders to keep everyone happy, healthy, and safe.
- Door Codes to our buildings should only be shared with those individuals who are the primary pick-up and drop-off person for your children. Anyone else can pick them up if the school is made aware ahead of time, however, we ask that you allow us to buzz them in, check their IDs and escort them to the classroom.
- Anyone who enters our buildings should be using the door code to do so or should be checked in by a member of the management team. In order to keep our schools safe, anyone you do not recognize, please do not let in. If you have someone follow you in please make the management team aware.
- Our parking lots see lots of little feet each day and sometimes those little feet like to go wandering without a parent or guardian’s hand. To ensure everyone is safe, please make sure that as you enter and exit the parking lot you reduce your speed to avoid any unforeseen issues. We understand that at times you can be rushed but please help us keep everyone safe and take it slow.
- Foot safety is another item we would like to remind everyone of. While open-toe shoes can be a preference during the warmer months, closed-toe shoes provide the best protection for our children. Children love to be active on the playground and we often time see toe/foot injuries with open-toe shoes. Please help us keep everyone safe and provide your child with a pair of closed-toe shoes to play in.
Playground pick-up procedures should include a quick touch base with our staff to ensure they are aware that you are taking your student for the day. As you enter and exit the playground, please make sure that gates and doors are closed, and students do not follow you and or your child out.
